Master Wang
Master Wang (Buddhist name Shi Xing Long/释行龙) is a 32nd generation Shaolin master. He began his training at age 12 in the world famous Shaolin Temple, learning traditional Shaolin techniques under Master Shi De Qian, a highly respected master of his generation. This training lasted for five years, after which time Master Wang moved into the International Shaolin Sanda Academy in Dengfeng to train in full-contact competitive fighting (Sanda).
After his second year of training in Sanda, he turned pro and began to fight professionally around China. He won several national competitions, including the famous “Kung Fu King” tournament. After four years at the International Sanda Academy, Master Wang suffered a severe injury to his back in a full-contact sparring match. He cracked his fourth vertebrae and was hospitalized for over half a year, with doctors unsure if he would be able to walk properly again. Unfortunately, this injury cut Master Wang’s professional fighting career short. During his time in hospital, Master Shi De Qian came to visit Master Wang many times, guiding him through his recovery with internal training and providing him with several Shaolin manuscripts to study. Eventually, Master Wang made a full recovery, however, he did not return to fighting because of the health risks, and instead moved into teaching.

Master Wang began teaching in 2001 and has continued doing the same ever since. Opening his first school in 2011, he taught a small group of full-time students in China until the arrival of COVID forced his school to close in 2020. Adapting to the changing environment, Master Wang began to teach online classes in summer 2020 and has continued to offer both one-to-one and group classes since.
Master Wang’s extensive accreditations include the rank of 6th Duan under the Chinese Wushu Association and 7th Duan under the International Wushu Federation as well as being a registered Chinese Wushu International Instructor and Referee and a Professional Sports Rehabilitation Professional under the Asian Fitness Industry Association.
With over two decades of teaching experience, Master Wang’s goal is to help his students develop a healthy body, a strong will, and a calm and humble spirit through the practice of traditional Shaolin and Tai Chi skills. Master Wang is a serious and dedicated martial artist. His teaching style is quite strict and detailed, and he wants all students to reach their full potential through training. However, he is also a very genuine and caring person who has worked hard over the years to better understand his international students by improving his English communication skills and learning about foreign cultures.
